How ExecIQ Ltd, which develops and operates FamilyStatus, handles personal information on this website and in the FamilyStatus application.
Last updated: 15 September 2026
Who we are
FamilyStatus is developed and operated by ExecIQ Ltd. FamilyStatus is a product, not a separate company. In this notice “we”, “us” and “our” mean ExecIQ Ltd.
ExecIQ Ltd is registered in England and Wales (company number 17320975). Registered office: 20 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, registration number ZC190465.
We are responsible for the personal information described in this notice. Contact us about it at info@execiq.uk.
What this notice covers
This notice covers two things:
- this website, familystatus.co.uk, which explains FamilyStatus and lets you register interest; and
- the FamilyStatus application at familystatus.app, which is in early access and used by families by arrangement with us. It is not open for general sign-up.
Information we collect through this website
If you use the register-interest form, we collect your name, your email address and any message you choose to add. We use them to reply to you and to manage requests for early access. We don’t add you to a mailing list.
Please don’t include children’s names, schools, medical information, detailed family arrangements or other sensitive family information in the form. We don’t need it to reply.
Form messages are sent by email to info@execiq.uk, using Resend as our email-delivery provider. This website doesn’t keep its own copy.
Like any website, our hosting provider necessarily processes technical information about requests to the site — such as your IP address and browser details — to deliver pages and protect the site from misuse. This website doesn’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Information held in the FamilyStatus application
FamilyStatus holds the information that families deliberately add to it or connect to it. Depending on how a household uses it, this can include information about:
- household members, including children, and their accounts where they have one;
- family schedules, activities, schools and homework;
- household tasks, responsibilities, preparation and who is doing what;
- family logistics, such as where people are and how they are getting about;
- information from school or activity sources that a household has set up.
We also process the account and sign-in information needed to run the service securely. The application keeps what it needs to keep you signed in in your browser; it doesn’t use analytics or advertising cookies.
FamilyStatus is for planning and coordination. Please avoid adding medical or other sensitive details beyond what is needed to organise family life — for example “appointment” rather than what it is for.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and manage requests for early access;
- provide and operate FamilyStatus for the households that use it;
- show members of a household the family information that is appropriate for them;
- support family planning and coordination;
- process information that authorised users deliberately supply or set up, such as school and activity sources;
- keep the website and service secure and working properly.
We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising or marketing profiling.
Our lawful bases
Website enquiries. We process the details you send through the form because we have a legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and in managing interest in FamilyStatus. We only use them for that purpose.
The FamilyStatus application. We process application information to provide the service a household has arranged to use, and in our legitimate interests in keeping that service secure and working properly. Before FamilyStatus opens beyond early access, we will set out in this notice the specific lawful basis we rely on for each kind of application information, including information about children.
Children’s information
Family coordination is often about children, so FamilyStatus can contain information about them — for example their schedules, activities, schools and homework. We take particular care with it:
- adults and guardians in a household control its administration and what is added;
- where a child has their own account, its access is deliberately restricted: a child can see their own day but cannot manage the household or change its plans;
- where a child is connected to more than one household, an adult linked to that child does not automatically see another household’s private information;
- the service is designed so that each person sees what is appropriate to their place in the family.
There is no public sign-up for children.
Information from schools and activities
A household can choose to connect information from schools, clubs and activities — such as a published term-dates page or calendar — or to forward relevant messages to FamilyStatus.
FamilyStatus treats this as information to review. It shows what a source appears to say, and it doesn’t change the family’s plans until somebody in the household accepts it. FamilyStatus is not a general-purpose mailbox: from a forwarded message it keeps the details it has read and the short passages they came from, not the whole message.
How long we keep information
We keep website enquiries only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and to manage your interest in FamilyStatus, unless we need to keep something longer for legal or accounting reasons.
We keep FamilyStatus application information while a household uses the service. If a household stops using FamilyStatus, or you ask us to, we will delete or anonymise its information unless we need to keep something for legal reasons.
Keeping information secure
FamilyStatus is built around access boundaries, so that one household cannot see another’s information and each person sees what is appropriate to them. Information travels over encrypted connections. No online service can be completely secure, but we take the protection of family information seriously and design FamilyStatus with that in mind.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights over your personal information. You can ask us:
- for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- to delete your information;
- to restrict how we use it;
- to object to our use of it where we rely on legitimate interests;
- to provide information you gave us in a portable format, where that right applies.
Some rights depend on the lawful basis we rely on and may not apply in every case. To make a request, email info@execiq.uk. We will respond within one month, or tell you if we need longer and why.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first at info@execiq.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK’s data protection regulator: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice as FamilyStatus develops. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make significant changes that affect people using FamilyStatus, we will let them know.
